Old England
Tanning and processing
Old England is carried out on full-grain half hides of noticeable thickness (2.0/2.2 mm) and undergoes a first process of 100% vegetable tanning. In the following dying phase, inside a barrel, the addition of a mixture of waxes gives leather an aspect that allows Baxter’s skilful craftsmen to act on the finished product. Their action gives the finished product a well-worn aspect, that can be attenuated or marked according to customer’s request. An intense brown colour is the only shade that characterizes this leather.
Maintenance (BOX-V)
For this leather you don’t need particular maintenance treatments, it is enough to wipe the whole leather surface with a simple cloth, woollen if possible.
