Part of the Collectible capsule collection, TILE, designed by Draga&Aurel for Baxter, transforms the concept of the tile into an architectural system.
The capsule collection stems from the idea of the “upholstered tile”: a geometric module open to infinite transformations, conceived as a versatile system capable of generating volumes. Draga&Aurel explore its compositional possibilities by combining the rigour of its forms with an in-depth study of materials, defining surfaces through refined finishes and textures.
Each piece in the series is an exploration of material experimentation: the tile becomes leather, cladding and structure, shaping surfaces that capture the light and reflect its ever-changing nature.
Baxter's research elevates this geometric module into unique compositions, where rigour and freedom exist in constant balance.
Boiserie, cabinets, sideboards and the coffee table all express the same design language, transforming geometry into a three-dimensional narrative that challenges the boundaries between art and design.
Conceived as a series of travelling works, the TILE capsule collection is available at Baxter Cinema in Milan and, from September, will arrive at Baxter Gallery London for the London Design Festival before continuing its journey to a selection of Baxter stores around the world.
