Antonino Sciortino’s projects arise from a need for functionality and versatility, from the choice of a linear aesthetic that makes minimalism the point of design. Girgenti is an outdoor sofa with a metal frame that performs its function using the fewest possible elements. The sofa’s minimalist frame, like that of the ottoman that completes it, is made of matt black painted galvanised metal rod. It divides spaces with precise, geometric graphic lines, creating a rectangular base that supports the seat cushions as well as the decorative cushions, both of which can be upholstered in leather or outdoor fabric to perfectly suit Open Air environments.
