The leather sample colours are understood to be approximate. Printing techniques don’t allow a perfect reproduction of colour shades; for this reason, the images reported in this catalogue must be considered just as an indication. It is possible to ask Baxter srl for approximate leather samples; however this will not automatically make it possible to request a product with the same reference. By confirming the order the customer accepts any colour tolerances. If you need to be certain of the final colour, you must request a sample for approval. For “Bo.Hemian” leathers, given the high variability of coat’s past life, it is not possible to send samples for approval. The leather surface normally, although not always, has marks of imperfections such as, for example, roughness, differing degrees of shine or shading, spots etc. This is above all the case when leather undergoes minimal processing, as in the case of natural aniline leathers.

Exposure of products to sunlight and direct sources of heat will alter the colours of covering. Products are not supplied without upholstery.

Sizes relating to the upholstered parts are subject to tolerances of use in time caused by the normal settling of the filling. The cushions' filling of washed and sterilized goose down has in some models a pad in polyurethane foam covered in appropriate cloth. 100% feather cushions can be supplied on request at no extra cost. It is possible to have fire-retardant foams with a surcharge of 4%. It is possible to have UK (Schedule 1 Part I - B.S. 5852) or California (California Technical Bulletin 117/2013 - Section 3 - from 2021 extended to all US federal states) fire-retardant foams with a surcharge of 12%.

For customer’s convenience, on the technical catalogue, the measures of the products are also expressed in “inch”. We precise that these measures are rounded off and that the only measures that are valid as original are the ones expressed in “centimeters”.

Possible orders of products with requests of special sizes and/or special finishes are subject to the evaluation of Baxter S.r.l., which explicitly reserves the right to accept them or not. The orders of products with special sizes and/or special finishes are, in any case, subject to a longer delivery time (compared with the standard one) and to increases in price, whose entity is variable according to the modifications that have to be done on the product. Special sizes and/or finishes, different from the ones reported in the catalogue/price list, could alter the final aesthetic result of the product; for the product and its final result, it’s understood that Baxter S.r.l. doesn’t take any responsibility, in spite of the possible acceptance of the order. IMPORTANT: When an element with armrest is ordered, specify in all cases whether left or right, always when facing the element.

On all wooden crates containing stones, concrete, etc... Baxter S.r.l. has decided to put two sensors in order to check for any damage occurred during transport.

The first sensor is called “Shockdot Warning” and reveals if the crate has suffered of crashes during the transport. Please inform people working in the warehouse that, if the sensor becomes red, they have to note on Bill of Lading and inspect product. If damage is discovered, leave item in original container and packaging and request immediate inspection from carrier within 3 days of delivery.

The second sensor is called “Tiltwatch Plus”. When the goods leave Baxter warehouse the small green ball is at 30°: if, when it arrives at destination, the small green ball has changed position, it means that “tilting has occurred” and therefore the marble could be damaged. So, as well written on the package, please NOT REFUSE shipment, but NOTE ON BILL OF LADING THE DEGREE OF TILT.

The square metres of leather are to be delivered by express courier, charging the relevant costs to the consignee.

In order to maintain Baxter’s leathers in the best possible way, it is advisable to follow some little but essential devices. It is recommendable to keep your product away from direct heat sources, such as radiators or firesides, and light sources, such as windows, that can make leather’s colour change considerably. Another important cleaning action to do periodically is to wipe the whole product’s surface with a soft cloth, in order to remove the dust that usually settles on it. Executing a constant and very simple maintenance action, it is therefore possible to maintain and preserve all those fantastic properties that characterize Baxter’s leather. Moreover it is important, with any cleaning action, to wipe leather with a dampened cloth very delicately, since its grain becomes more delicate.

As general cleaning indications, it is useful to bear in mind that a prompt intervention is essential, in order to prevent stains from seeping through leather and fixing with it. For cleaning and maintenance of Baxter’s leather products, you should use only the specially provided “Beauty Routine” set, since generic products can damage covering permanently. In case of liquid stains it is essential, when possible, to clean promptly with a blotting cloth, taking care of not widening the stain, but rather trying to tighten it as much as possible, making movements from outside towards centre. Instead, in case of greasy stains such as chocolate, marmalade, lipstick etc., it is essential, when possible, first of all to remove the excess with a non-abrasive object (that is for example a tea spoon), always being careful not to widen the stain, but rather trying to restrict it as much as possible, making movements from outside towards centre. Then, if necessary, use the specific cleanser with a cloth, always taking care of not widening the stain. A completely natural but at the same time very effective remedy consists in the use of a soft cloth dampened with water, then adding Marseille soap. Always bear in mind not to scour too hard on leather surface, to prevent visible and permanent damages on surface and to fibres. In order to obtain a great result we recommend to use hot air of a hairdryer to dry the stain and obtain a result in a short time. If necessary, it is recommendable to repeat the action.

Baxter S.r.l. is owner of its trademarks. Should actions designed to cause potential damage become known, Baxter srl shall apply all the provisions laid down by the Civil Code as regards the safeguarding of distinguishing marks and patent rights, as well as laws on acts of unfair competition.

Any surface blemishes, that are attributable to the naturalness of stones, can be resin-filled and are not to be considered as defects. Blocks and slabs visibly vary as these are natural stones; all pictures are just a rough guide.

For the routine maintenance of the rugs, we suggest to vacuum them, in order to remove dust and other residues. It might happen that, during a first period, some fibres come off from the carpet. This is absolutely normal. The wool and/or silk carpets always have some excess fibres, which gradually disappear with the normal use. In order to get a uniform exposure to light and to trampling, we suggest to regularly rotate the rug. We also recommend to immediately remove stains. Proceed with caution in order to not damage the fibres. To remove stains, soak up first of all with blotting paper. Then immerse a cloth or a sponge in lukewarm water. Dampen the stain without rubbing and soak up, repeating these actions until you have completely removed the stains. For difficult stains, we recommend to promptly contact specialist dry-cleaner’s shops. For the washing, we recommend to contact dry-cleaner specialist shops.
