      On the occasion of the ONLIFE Millennials at Home Exhibition, Baxter presents the real news of the last years: a complete project for “outdoor”. Chairs, armchairs and accessories are made in tubular copper matched with particular kinds of leathers, thought specifically to be used on the outside. The outdoor is enriched also by a special minimal collection made in iron. There are also details made with aluminium mixed with resin and concrete, as well as products made with rattan. The idea is to try to create unique products that will change over time, conveying the idea of something fully lived that only noble materials can give.

      The new leathers, with their natural nuances such as grey, forest green and cognac, are born from the constant experimentation that Baxter dedicates to in the field of leather. Actually, we have directed our research towards the carrying out of ancient leathers, tanned to become completely water-repellent and, therefore, studied on purpose to stay outside. Next to these harder leathers there are also items made with soft leathers, characterized by the possibility to be washed in a washing machine, without losing their softness and lightness, main peculiarities of Baxter’s philosophy. It deals with completely natural leathers, that get old and change over time, conveying the idea of something fully lived that only noble materials can give.

      The outdoor projects are carried out by the designers Paola Navone, Antonino Sciortino and Roberto Lazzeroni.


      ONLIFE. Millenials at Home The exhibition born from an Elle Décor Italia idea will be open from 16th to 29th of April at Palazzo Bovara, Corso Venezia 51, Milan. With this expositive project, Elle Décor examines the relationship with living and the relation with the Millenials’ world, divided into four generational cluster between 20 and 40 years old, for which, even though with different intensity and shades, the technology assumes almost a physiological role that arises in their lifestyle and consumption, and so in their approach to the domestic, working and recreational environment. The concept of the project has been developed with the collaboration with Future Concept Lab, a research institute that has identified and described the four main generational profiles of the exhibition: DigitalNatives, LifeSharers, FamilyFans and HomeCurators. The Millenials express themselves and give value to their personality through the design
